We are interested in a custom home, not a standard floor plan from your selections. Can you still help us? YES. Every home we build is considered “custom” whether it’s our plan or not. We don’t have land, can you help us find a suitable building site? Of course! Our highly trained Sales Consultants are knowledgeable in the entire site selection process. From location to zoning, we’ll make sure you’re satisfied.

Some builders we’ve talked to require us to obtain our own permits and complete a lot of work on the house and homesite ourselves. Will we be required to do this with Precedent? No. In fact, we’re one of the few “On Your Lot” builders that is completely “turn key”. We’ll take care of everything from the permits to the final inspection, clean up to the septic system.

We really don’t want to build for several months. Is there any way to protect us from future price increases? Yes there is! Precedent Homes has a unique “Six Month Price Protection” program which locks in the price of your home and options for six full months! Even if you don’t have a building site, we can still lock in your price. Ask one of our Sales Consultants for more information

How long will it take? This is one of the most frequently asked questions we receive. Our computerized scheduling system tracks every step of your home’s progress both during and before construction begins. Below is an approximate timetable from the date a Construction Agreement is executed to the time you’re moving into your new Precedent Home.

Are we responsible for our own financing? Most of our customers obtain a construction/perm loan which handles both the construction and permanent financing. Closing and other loan costs can be added to your Construction Agreement if desired. Our team of experienced Sales Consultants can help you step by step in the financing process.

Do you have any homes other than your model homes we can see? Yes. We have a program with past Precedent customers where they allow us to bring new prospects into their home for those interested in their specific floor plan. We have dozens of home plans and styles available for viewing by appointment. Just contact us for a personal home tour!
